The wreck didn't want to give up its heart and sole easily taking two magicians a full day and loads of rude words to extract the motor, auto trans and vital looms and sensors. . .
This motor, although short being a V6 is wide, did I say wide, it is bloody nearly two axe handles across. The old EH is gonna know it's got something new in its belly with this thing straddling its rails.
The automatic transmission is sooo huge that a complete rethink has now resulted in a totally new floor-pan layout and huge centre tunnel to accomodate the auto. Strangely GMH has reverted to a solid linkage set-up for changing gears with this new auto, the old electronics are gone. . .
